Fire Alarms

Fire Alarms

As with Emergency Lighting Fire Alarms are an integral part of any building and as a result require testing and inspection in line with legislation and BS5839, systems should be inspected on a quarterly basis and recorded in a log book which must be retained at the premises ideally at reception or with a responsible person, all devices have to inspected during an annual period to ensure that they operate correctly.

We currently carry out this service for Clients throughout the North East usually as part of an all encompassing planned or cyclic maintenance contract, we are experienced in all types of system from a simple single zone to a multi zone system within large office complexes etc. We can tailor an inspection routine to match the requirements of your building and system.

Fire Alarm systems require testing on a weekly basis with the test normally being carried out by a Clients member of staff who is deemed competent, we can however as we do for a number of buildings were there is multiple occupancy carry this out on the Clients behalf with the log book being kept in a locked cabinet for our engineers use.
